Rhode Island General Laws § 42-17.1-2(s) and 23-23, as amended

Purpose and Reason:

This new Air Pollution Control (APC) regulation includes definitions for 40 terms used in RI DEM’s APC regulations. Where the context permits, those definitions will be removed from the other regulations. Language referencing the General Definitions regulation will be added to the definitions sections of the other APC regulations. This action will ensure that the definitions of terms used in the APC regulations are consistent and will enable RI DEM to update definitions more readily. A table of Abbreviations and Symbols for units of measure used in the APC regulations is also included in the proposed General Definitions regulation.
